Oatmeal Raisin Cookies

The classic Oatmeal Raisin Cookie recipe! Not too sweet and perfectly chewy. Don't forget to refrigerate dough before baking for the perfect cookie shape. 

INGREDIENTS

  • 3/4 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup flour (not sifted)
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/8 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 cups old fashioned oats
  • 3/4 cup raisins

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Pre-heat oven to 350 F
  2. Beat softened butter and sugars on high until fluffy, about 3 mins
  3. Add vanilla and egg, mix at a lower speed
  4. Add dry ingredients slowly
  5. Put in fridge to cool, then scoop out small balls with an ice cream scoop
  6. Bake 13-15 minutes until brown around the edges
